Custom CONTRACTOR Training Services for Teck-Pogo Construction Phase

The training programs and pricing outlined below are for independent contractors seeking training for groups of employees. Individuals interested in these courses should refer to the Classes page on this site or call the DMTC offices at (907) 895-2051.

30 CFR Part 48 24-Hour New Surface Miner Certification Training

DMTC will provide 20 hours of instruction meeting the requirements of the approved Teck-Pogo training plan. Instruction will be delivered utilizing multimedia presentations and demonstrations by competent and certified instructors. DMTC will deliver contractor employees 4 hours of site-specific safety training at the various work sites on the project. In some cases, this 4 hour site specific training will be conducted by Teck-Pogo personnel.

The cost for this training for groups of up to 25 people is $2000. Given reasonable lead time, training can be arranged to fit the contractor's schedule in most cases. DMTC will work to coordinate training for contractors with fewer employees to help form larger groups.

30 CFR Part 48 8-Hour Surface and Underground Miner Refresher Training

DMTC will provide 8 hours of instruction meeting the requirements of MSHA and the Teck-Pogo refresher training plan. Instruction will be delivered utilizing multimedia presentations and demonstrations by competent and certified instructors.

The cost for this training for groups of up to 25 people is $800.

NOTE: Surface and Underground refresher courses are separate courses.

30 CFR Part 48 40-Hour New Underground Miner Certification Training

DMTC will provide 32 hours of classroom instruction meeting the requirements of MSHA and the Teck-Pogo training plan. Instruction will be delivered utilizing multimedia presentations and demonstrations by competent and certified instructors. An additional 8 hours of site specific training will be conducted by Teck-Pogo personnel.

The cost for this training for groups up to 25 is $3200. Given reasonable lead time, training can be arranged to fit the contractor's schedule in most cases. DMTC will work to coordinate training for contractors with fewer employees to help form larger groups.
