More About DMTC Alaska
Delta Mine Training Center was established to provide miner training and to encourage local hire for mineral industry jobs in Alaska. DMTC works to recruit, prepare and match the right people to the current and future jobs in mining. Our goal is for Delta Mine Training Center to be the connection for industry to find workers and Alaskans to find employment. Our students are held to a standard that will meet the demands of the modern mineral industry.
In addition to miner training, DMTC, in cooperation with the University of Alaska Cooperative Extension Service, offers workshops for prospectors across the State. The six workshops lead to a “Prospectors Certification” from UAF CES. The workshops are designed to serve new comers to prospecting, as well as providing cutting edge information to seasoned prospectors.
Our underground training facility offers a test bed for new technologies, as well as a place to train mine rescue teams. DMTC is interested in working with anyone who supports the mining industry.
