Ticket To Success Please mark your calendar for two upcoming Alaska Business Education Compact "Ticket to Success" events coming this Fall.                       When:  Tuesday, October 16, 2001        Where:  The Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage, Alaska     Who Should Attend:    All educators and employers in Alaska concerned about preparing Alaskans for work and lifelong learning.   What:    "Ticket to Success" Breakfast 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM   "Ticket to Success" training evening   9:30 AM to 2:30 PM   At these two meetings you will have the opportunity to:   * Learn what steps you and your organization can take to form meaningful, systemic partnerships that engage students in meaningful activities that connect academic standards to real life problems.   * Hear from Kenneth Jones, Education Program Officer for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Tom Houlihan, Executive Director of the Council of Chief State School Officers to learn what industry and education partners around the United States (including Alaska) are doing to effect student achievement.        * Honor Alaskan educators, business members, parents and students doing an exemplary job of providing leadership and modelin systemic change through partnerships.   MORE INFORMATION WILL BE COMING SOON.     Click here for PDF copy of TICKET FOR SUCCESS
