The following workshops will be offered:
The workshop curriculum is designed to prepare the participant to conduct the basic fieldwork needed to locate, identify, access, and stake mineral claims. Basic outdoor, navigational, and mineral identification skills will be integrated with land status, economic, and mining methods instruction to provide a basis for more serious prospecting. Adjunct instructors, mineral industry professionals, and other guest experts will provide the varied instruction for these workshops. Click for the workshop schedule and workshop descriptions. If you are interested in being a participant in or teaching one of these workshops, please contact the workshop coordinator, Cheryl Cooper at ccooper@dmtcalaska.org or call 895-2051.
