During different ages in history, different minerals benefited and affected societies.  Using the internet resources listed below or other resources available to you, finish the chart to show how different periods in history were affected by the availability of minerals. An example has been started for you using the Bronze Age.

Peru: Gold changed techniques of metal working.

China: Silver and gold were used to create acupuncture needles. The coal was used for fuel.

Thailand: More advanced tools were created

Gold probably was found on the ground and used by prehistoric man as a tool.
Highly sophisticated gold art objects and jewelry discovered by archaeologists in the
Royal Tombs at Ur, in what is now Southern Iraq, date back to around 3000 BC.
