Instructions

Choose a mineral (ie, aluminum, copper, silver).  Using resources available to you, including the internet, local library, state Department of Natural Resources publications, etc., locate a mine or prospect for this mineral. Write a short report including or explaining the following:

Name of mine
Location of mine
Mineral
Describe the rock structure associated with the mineral deposit (i.e.- pegmatite, beach placer)
Include the surrounding local or "country" rock
Is this a relatively large or small deposit?
Is this a high grade or easily mined deposit? Why or why not?

Submit the document as an email attachment to your instructor. Any references and resources must be sited.
