Re: CAREER PROFILE SURVEY

The time has come to prepare our children for the future. We would appreciate your participation in creating a state-of-the-art career development program for all of Alaska's youth. Please provide your career profile information on the attached career profile survey.

Background:
The Career Pathway Development Project is a jointly funded program through the Department of Labor and the Department of Education. We are creating lessons on career awareness and exploration to be posted on a statewide web-site hosted by the Alaska Business Education Compact. The program will be available for use this fall. The result of this project will be a standard for all schools districts for career education.

The information you provide will be used to create a web based course for all Alaskan students related to career awareness. The web page will be used as a resource for elementary school students as they research various careers and career pathways.

Instructions:
Fill out the attached survey. If possible, please provide a photo(s) of yourself or someone in your profession at work. It will be scanned onto the web page next to your responses.

Your comments may be revised for younger readers. A draft of the web page can be sent to you for approval before it is posted on the internet. Please provide an address (US Mail or e-mail) if you would like a draft sent.

If you know others who would be willing to participate by answering this career profile, please share a copy of this or have them contact me for a copy.
