Pathways Examples:
Explores all pathways with some specific activities that explore the Industrial Engineering and Technology Pathway.

Unit Objective: After completion of this unit, the student will be able identify career pathways and describe jobs in each pathway. They will also explore how changes in the workplace can affect careers.

Unit Activities/Lessons:

Lesson 1 - So You Want to Be an Engineer - A wonderful web site that has the students exploring the field of engineering. This site and activity is teacher directed and has several games on line for the students.

Lesson 2- So You Want to be a Computer Technician - This activity challenges students to evaluate their computer expertise.

 

Lesson 3: Career Fair Interest Survey - A web-based survey that students fill out and print out for the teachers. A useful activity designed to help the teacher get ideas for career fairs, either locally or through the cyber world.

 

Lesson 4: Job Shadowing - A reproducible packet for students to use as they visit a job site.
