Activities:

1.      Brainstorm different jobs in your community that have changed because of technology.

2.      Choose one of the jobs above and research how it has changed due to technology and how the employees keep up with the changes. Which jobs in this type of career have been replaced by technology.   Ex: teller/ATM, operators/automated telephone systems.

Your research can be done by interviewing someone in a particular career or by exploring the Internet.

Assessment

Demonstrate what you have learned about how technology has changed the workforce. Your presentation could be a poster, an electronic slide show, or as a worksheet with an answer key for classmates to complete.
